| ** NOTE FOR FURTHER WORK: This is an over-simplification of a general process but it doesn’t reflect actual phases of the various reviews that differ somewhat between the types of applications. We follow the guidelines as they appear in the regulations. I think for it to be of value to applicants, the flow chart needs to be updated to reflect the actual steps of Subdivision, Special Use Permits, Site Plan Reviews and Wetlands/Watercourse Permit procedures separately. To do this, I would have to spend more time reviewing what the regs require for each type of application to make sure we’re not leaving out a crucial step in the flow chart. For example, the chart as appears now looks like all the applications require CCD review, which they don’t, and doesn’t reflect any referrals to WEC or outside agencies like the Ulster County Planning Board, a referral to the Town Planner or contiguous municipalities. These referrals can take added time and money and the applicant using a flow chart should be aware of that fact and all of the possible steps involved in any one process. But that’s just my opinion and how far do we want to go with this one task? |
